About the Role

QRiousCodes, the Track & Trace solutions business of Control Print Limited, is seeking an experienced Head – Software & Technology to lead its software development team and oversee technical delivery across multiple projects.

The role will drive solution architecture, software development, and project execution, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions while ensuring effective development, deployment, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development & Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the software development team, oversee multiple projects, and drive technical execution and delivery.
• Solution Architecture & Design: Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions, design application and database architecture, and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review FRDs, FDS, technical specifications, system workflows, architecture diagrams, and integration documentation.
• Development & Quality Management: Oversee development activities, review technical designs, APIs, database structures, and critical code while establishing coding standards and best practices.
• Project Execution: Manage development activities, timelines, and deliverables using JIRA and Git/Bitbucket, coordinating with Project Managers, customers, and third-party technical teams.
• Integration & Technology Management: Drive system integrations with ERP/SAP/MES platforms, APIs, and industrial hardware, ensuring seamless connectivity across applications and production environments.
• Testing & Deployment: Oversee testing, UAT, deployment, commissioning, and production go-live, ensuring reliable and efficient solution delivery.
• Technical Excellence: Drive troubleshooting, process improvements, and adoption of appropriate technologies and development practices.

About You

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: 15–20 years of experience in software development and technology, with team leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
• Strong technical expertise in Node.js, React.js, Next.js, MongoDB, REST APIs, and modern web application architecture.
• Experience in solution architecture, database design, technical documentation, and managing multiple software development projects.
• Practical understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and cloud deployment environments.
• Exposure to ERP/SAP/MES integrations, industrial printers, scanners, vision systems, PLCs, and production-line applications is preferred.
• Experience in Track & Trace, serialization, QR/barcode systems, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, packaging, or industrial automation environments will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder-management skills.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have practical experience with the following technologies:

• Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Redux/Redux Toolkit, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Ant Design.
• Backend & APIs: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, JSON integrations, authentication and authorisation.
• Database: MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, database design, indexing, and query optimisation.
• Development Tools: Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Agile/Scrum.
• Cloud & Deployment: AWS or equivalent cloud platforms, Linux/Windows Server, Docker, Nginx, PM2, CI/CD, application logging, and monitoring.
