“Much of what we take for granted wouldn’t be possible without coding and marking. And it’s not an exaggeration to say that every day, these overlooked codes save lives, costs and time.”
As a consumer every single day our work touches you in small & large ways. The Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, and FMCG/Personal Care industries rely upon us to provide necessary statutory information such as Best Before Codes and Maximum Retail Price information. Several industries such as Pipe & Plastic, Wire & Cable, Steel & Metal, Cement, Plywood…. Rely upon us to provide necessary product information such as thickness, pressure ratings, heat numbers… on their products. And all manufacturing industries require high levels of traceability using Batch Codes, Serial Numbers, or Variable Barcodes to track & trace their products across their entire supply chain.
So the next time you look at a best before date, the specification of your speaker wire, the thickness and coating of your glass sheet… its very likely that as one of the key providers of Coding & Marking Solutions, that are used by almost every manufacturing industry in order to print any type of variable information directly onto their productions lines, you are looking at one of our codes.
We are invaluable in everyday practical decisions such as when to throw away expired nuts or which carton of orange juice to consume first or the size of a pair of rubber gloves. And for manufacturers we are at the forefront of a highly sophisticated system where traceability codes through Batch Codes, Serial Numbers, and Variable Barcodes are used across every industry including automobile to pharmaceutical industries to quickly recall products in the event of any problem. In addition our variable barcodes are extensively used to manage inventory in manufacturing and warehousing operations all the way to the local supermarket.
The fact is that much of what we take for granted wouldn’t be possible without coding and marking. And it’s not an exaggeration to say that every day, these overlooked codes save lives, costs and time.
But you wouldn’t have known this in the early nineties, when we got started. Back then a few people in India had heard of coding and marking. Having being exposed to the technology abroad our founder, Basant Kabra, understood its potential to transform Indian society. In 1991 he started Control Print with the aim of helping both Indian companies and society as a whole to realize these benefits.
At the time very few Indian Manufacturers used online coding and marking technologies and Control Print was one of the first companies in the industry to have local presence in India.
We started as manufacturers but because of low volumes in India in the early 1990’s we then decided to exclusively market, distribute, and service for a few well-known foreign manufacturers. The years working as a distributor helped us to understand the Indian market and the unique challenges Indian manufacturing companies face.
With quarter of a Century’s experience in coding and marking industry helped us understand the Indian market and the unique challenges Indian manufacturing companies face.
Over the years it became obvious that Indian companies are better served with locally manufactured equipment. And in 2008, drawing from our years of experience, we developed the first coding machines using some core German technology but designed and built from the ground up to suit the unique conditions in India.
Today, we are the only company with locally manufactured coding equipment capable of competing head-to-head with foreign technology. And we are proud to call ourselves as true Indian pioneers. With our class leading technology, dedicated and omnipresent service team, unsurpassed operational costs, and strong local infrastructure we are the ultimate manufacturer’s manufacturer.
Over the course of our three decades of operation, we have witnessed the remarkable transformation of this technology, once considered an obscure afterthought, into an integral aspect that has permeated nearly every dimension of our lives, mirroring the growth and evolution of India itself.
And we aren’t done yet. We believe we haven’t touched our limits and on everything we can do along with our industry & technology for societies.
